Prep your smile before you whiten

White in Minutes® PreTreat is a non-peroxide teeth whitening prep solution designed to help loosen and lift surface stains before you apply whitening gel.

Applied directly to the teeth with a cotton swab, PreTreat helps clean away discoloration from common staining sources such as coffee, tea, wine, soda, tobacco and everyday buildup. Use it immediately before an at-home or professional whitening treatment to start with a cleaner tooth surface and create a simple first step in your whitening routine.

PreTreat can also be applied to porcelain and acrylic restorations to help remove surface staining. While restorations themselves cannot be bleached lighter with whitening gel, removing external stains can help them look cleaner and brighter.

Its fresh mint, peroxide-free formula takes only seconds per tooth and does not need to be rinsed away before whitening.

Why prep your teeth before whitening?

Not all tooth discoloration is the same. Some stains sit on the outer tooth surface, while peroxide whitening treatments are designed to lighten discoloration within natural teeth.

Using PreTreat first gives you a dedicated step for surface stain removal before bleaching begins. It can be especially useful when your teeth have visible staining from coffee, tea, wine, tobacco or other strongly pigmented foods and beverages.

PreTreat does not replace whitening gel. Instead, the two products perform different jobs within the same routine:

PreTreat → clean and lift surface stains
Whitening treatment → lighten natural tooth color

What PreTreat Helps Remove

Surface stains can gradually collect on tooth enamel from foods, drinks and everyday habits. PreTreat is designed to help loosen and remove this type of external discoloration before whitening.

Coffee & Tea
Dark pigments from coffee and tea can leave visible surface discoloration over time.

Wine & Soda
Highly pigmented beverages may contribute to staining on the tooth surface.

Tobacco
Smoking and tobacco use can produce stubborn yellow or brown surface staining.

Everyday Buildup
Food pigments and daily exposure can gradually dull the appearance of teeth between whitening treatments.

PreTreat addresses surface staining. It is not a substitute for professional dental cleaning and does not remove tartar or treat intrinsic discoloration within the tooth.

How To Use

  1. Dip one of the included disposable dental swabs into PreTreat and apply the solution directly to the front surface of each tooth you want to treat.
  2. Using a small circular motion, gently scrub each tooth for approximately 5 seconds, concentrating on visible surface stains.
  3. Repeat if needed. For stubborn surface staining, repeat the application before beginning your whitening treatment.
  4. Do not rinse. Leave PreTreat on the teeth and continue directly to your whitening treatment. Do not rinse before applying whitening gel.

PreTreat can be used before White in Minutes® whitening kits, whitening gel, whitening pens or other compatible whitening treatments.

What Is A Teeth Whitening PreTreat?

A teeth whitening pretreatment is used before a whitening treatment to clean and prepare the visible surfaces of the teeth. Unlike peroxide whitening gels, which chemically lighten discoloration within natural tooth structure, White in Minutes PreTreat is designed to help remove external surface staining before whitening begins.

PreTreat is applied directly to each tooth with a disposable cotton swab. A gentle circular scrubbing motion helps loosen visible staining and buildup, and the solution is left on the teeth when whitening gel is applied.

Think of it as the prep step in your whitening routine: clean first, whiten second.

FAQs

What is White in Minutes PreTreat?

White in Minutes PreTreat is a non-peroxide pre-whitening solution designed to help lift external surface stains before a teeth whitening treatment. It is applied directly to the teeth with a disposable cotton swab and is typically used immediately before whitening gel.

Does PreTreat whiten teeth?

PreTreat primarily targets surface staining rather than bleaching the natural tooth structure. For deeper whitening or a change in the natural shade of your teeth, use PreTreat before a compatible teeth whitening treatment.

When should I use PreTreat?

Use PreTreat immediately before whitening. Apply it to the visible tooth surfaces, gently scrub each tooth for approximately five seconds, and continue directly to your whitening treatment without rinsing.

Do I rinse PreTreat off before whitening?

No. When using PreTreat immediately before a whitening treatment, leave the solution on the teeth and apply your whitening product as directed.

What kinds of stains does PreTreat help remove?

PreTreat is designed to help lift external surface stains caused by common sources such as coffee, tea, wine, soda, tobacco and other pigmented foods and beverages.

Can PreTreat be used on crowns, veneers or other restorations?

PreTreat may be used to help clean surface staining from compatible porcelain and acrylic restorations. Dental restorations do not bleach lighter like natural teeth, so PreTreat will not change their underlying manufactured shade.

Does White in Minutes PreTreat contain peroxide?

No. PreTreat is a non-peroxide stain-lifting and pre-whitening solution.

Can I use PreTreat without whitening afterward?

PreTreat can help clean external surface staining on its own, but it is specifically designed as the preparation step before a whitening treatment. For a noticeable change in the underlying color of natural teeth, a separate whitening treatment is generally required.
