Apply a thin bead of gel to a compatible mouth tray and wear for 5 to 30 minutes. The gel can be used before whitening by people who are prone to sensitivity, immediately after whitening treatments, or between sessions when additional comfort is needed.

How Does Desensitizing Gel Work?
Tooth sensitivity can occur when stimuli reach exposed or sensitive areas of the tooth. White in Minutes® Desensitizing Gel contains potassium nitrate along with calcium hydroxyapatite and calcium pyrophosphate to help support tooth comfort during and after whitening.
Using the gel in a mouth tray keeps the formula in contact with the teeth for several minutes, making it useful before whitening for people who are prone to sensitivity, after whitening treatments, or as needed between sessions.

After whitening
Use immediately after whitening if temporary sensitivity develops.
Between whitening sessions
Useful when sensitivity continues after treatment or when spacing out whitening sessions.
Outside a whitening routine
Can be used as an occasional sensitivity-care treatment outside of whitening. Persistent or unexplained tooth sensitivity should be evaluated by a dental professional.
Expert Tips
Apply a thin layer.
A small, even bead of gel inside the tray is all that's needed. Using more gel won't improve comfort and may cause excess gel to reach the gums.
Target the sensitive teeth.
If only certain teeth are sensitive, apply gel only to those areas instead of filling the entire tray.
Use after whitening sessions.
Desensitizing gel can be applied immediately after whitening or whenever temporary sensitivity develops.
Wear for up to 30 minutes.
Mild sensitivity may improve after just a few minutes, while more noticeable sensitivity may benefit from a full 30-minute treatment.
Keep a syringe on hand.
Many experienced whitening users keep desensitizing gel available so they can address temporary sensitivity when it occurs rather than waiting for discomfort to increase.
Didn't use this with whitening but my dentist told me about this company and stood behind their products. It seems to work much better than fluoride toothpaste, you do need a tray to leave it on your teeth so if you dont have invisalign trays you may need to buy one. Otherwise very happy with this product as it helped me a lot.
I bought these to go along with my kit and used them a few times after wards. I do notice it helps with my teeth but not sure i needed them. maybe for people with more sensitive teeth than me.
I bought one of their home kits and I have really sensitive teeth which I already knew. I purchased this at the same time and after I'm done whitening I clean out my tray and put this in there and it really helps with how sensitive my teeth feel afterward. I saw that can be used with or without teeth whitening so I started using it on a weekly basis and it's really helped my teeth on a general sense.
Using this after whitening my clients teeth really helped with sensitivity. Even though I'm a pro, anybody at home could use this in their tray after teeth whitening. And- SO AFFORDABLE! Two thumbs up five stars!!!
FAQs
How does desensitizing gel work?
Desensitizing gel contains ingredients such as potassium nitrate, calcium hydroxyapatite, and calcium pyrophosphate that help calm sensitive teeth and support enamel. The gel is placed inside the included tray so it remains in contact with your teeth for several minutes during each treatment.
Can I use desensitizing gel before whitening my teeth?
Yes. Some people with naturally sensitive teeth choose to use desensitizing gel before beginning a whitening treatment to help improve comfort. It can also be used after whitening or between whitening sessions as needed.
How long should I leave the desensitizing gel on my teeth?
Apply a thin bead of gel to the mouth tray and wear it for 5 to 30 minutes. After treatment, remove the tray and rinse both your mouth and the tray thoroughly with water. An LED whitening light is not required.
How many treatments are included?
Each syringe contains 3 mL of desensitizing gel. The number of applications depends on how much gel is used during each treatment, but most customers receive multiple treatments from each syringe.
How should I store the desensitizing gel?
Store the gel in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not necessary. The gel has a shelf life of approximately 12 months from the date of purchase.
Can desensitizing gel be used without teeth whitening?
Yes. Although it is commonly used before or after whitening, the gel can also be used as part of an occasional sensitivity-care routine when a dental professional has not identified another underlying cause for the discomfort.
What ingredients help with tooth sensitivity?
The formula contains potassium nitrate, calcium hydroxyapatite, and calcium pyrophosphate. These ingredients are commonly used in sensitivity and enamel-support formulations.
Do I need a mouth tray to use desensitizing gel?
Yes. The gel is designed to be placed inside a compatible dental or whitening tray so it remains in contact with the teeth during the 5 to 30 minute treatment.
