While using an LED teeth whitening lamp or dental curing lamp, proper eye protection is required to prevent blue light induced-damage to the retinas.
The deep orange lens color is intended to protect eyes from a blue LED teeth whitening light or a dental curing lamp that emits blue LED light. Orange lenses block blue light most effectively from the retina. Bronze-colored lenses will provide similar protection, but orange lenses are noted to be more effective.
Both teeth whitening patient and teeth whitening technician should wear protective eyewear when in the presence of an illuminated teeth whitening lamp.
These safety glasses are sturdy and fit almost any head size. The arms are fully adjustable with four possible lengths that lock in to stay in place while in use.
