Plastic Dental Cheek Retractor - Large

C-Shaped plastic cheek retractors are intended for use in professional teeth whitening & dental procedures.

The design effectively pulls lips and cheeks away from the teeth and front of mouth, holding them in place and leaving teeth and gums exposed for treatment. 

When using high-strength teeth whitening gel, it is imperative that the lips and gums are not exposed to residual teeth whitening gel. Using a cheek retractor eliminated the possibility of skin irritation due to peroxide exposure.

This product may be blue or clear plastic, depending on availability. 

Measurements (not including c-shaped handle):

Small Retractor: 7 cm wide x 3 cm high

Large Retractor: 8.5 cm wide x 3.5 cm high

Plastic cheek retractors can be disposed of or sterilized in an autoclave with the following process:

STEP 1: Clean thoroughly with soap and water, then rinse with distilled water and dry prior to packaging. Any chemical disinfectant must be washed off and the retractor died prior to packaging as this could damage the product in the sterilization process.

STEP 2: Steam sterilize only for 20 minutes @ 245 F / 118 C. After sterilization, cheek retractors are to remain in their sealed package and opened only at point of use.
