Summertime is all about soaking in the sun, being surrounded by friends, and eating great food. One of the cliche, but most fun things to do is to have a summer picnic. It's hard to figure out what to bring because sandwiches might too safe of a choice but you don't want to bring anything too difficult to eat while sitting on the ground or at a table either. Maybe you just want to spice it up a little bit and bring something different!

Here are some picnic-friendly recipes that can help you solve your problem and be a picnic favorite!

1. Vegan Beetroot Hummus

You have to think of the vegans when you go on picnics, too! This is a vegan AND gluten free recipe and it serves 6-8 people. Bring your favorite bag of chips and get ready to do some dipping. It looks pretty, it's healthy, and will be a guaranteed big hit.
