20 Most Anticipated Summer/Fall Movies & TV Shows To Watch

There's no doubt that summer and fall are the best times for new movies and shows to come out, or even your favorite shows coming back with a new season! We comprised a list of 20 of the most anticipated movies and television shows you need to watch this summer and fall! Which ones are you excited to see?

Movies:

1. The Meg

This will come out August 10th. A deep sea submarine is attacked by a thought to be extinct prehistoric sea creature. The submarine is disabled at the bottom of the Pacific with everyone still stuck inside. They have to figure out how to save the crew and the ocean from this 75-foot shark, the megalodon. 

2. Slender Man

This is about a group of high school girls who want to prove that the myth of Slender Man is just that, a myth. One of the girls goes missing and they think she might be his latest victim. This is coming out August 10th.

3. Crazy Rich Asians

Coming to theaters on August 15th. This movie follows an Asian couple, Rachel and Nick, and they travel to Singapore to meet Nick's family. Rachel is shocked to find out that Nick's family is one of the wealthiest families in the country and one of the most sought-after bachelors. Not only does Rachel have to deal with all of the jealous women, but she has to deal with his disapproving mother as well.

4.  Skate Kitchen

Coming out August 10th, A skateboarder from New York befriends an all-girls skateboarding crew called Skate Kitchen. She deals with a falling out with her mother and falling in love with a fellow skateboarding, played by Jaden Smith.

5. The Spy Who Dumped Me

Although this comes out on August 3rd, there were special screenings shown the week before. It's about a woman who's boyfriends dumps her and she later learns he's a spy when she and her best friend get entangled in an international conspiracy.

6. The Nun

This scary movie is set to come out on September 7th. It's about the same nun seen in The Conjuring 2. A Catholic priest and a novice are sent by the Vatican to investigate the suicidal death of a nun at a monastery. 

7. Smallfoot

This comes out on September 28th. It's an animated movie about a yeti named Migo discovers something he didn't know existed, which is a human. It's got a great cast including Channing Tatum, Gina Rodriguez, and James Corden.

8. Dog Days

Another movie with a great cast to come out on August 10th. It is about dogs who change their owners' lives when both humans and their dogs cross paths in Los Angeles. This movie stars Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, and Eva Longoria.

9. Christopher Robin 

This comes out August 3rd. Christopher Robin is all grown up and has lost his way. It is up to his stuffed animal friends to help him remember the playful boy who is still inside.

10. Eighth Grade 

This movie has already been out for a few weeks in special locations but officially comes out on August 3rd. It's about an eighth grader who is going through her last week of middle school, having to endure adolescence and moving on up to high school. It is directed and produced by comedian, Bo Burnham.

TV shows:

1. Riverdale

This TV show based on the Archie comics comes back on October 10th. It's a drama set in Riverdale where a teen, Archie, deals with life, love, and high school.

2. Grey's Anatomy

Coming back on September 27th on ABC, your favorite surgeons are back for its 15th season! If you don't know the storyline, it's about five surgical interns and their professional and private lives.

3. The Kids Are Alright

To premiere on October 16th, this show is about a working-class Irish-Catholic family trying to raise their eight kids in the 1970s. Their lives turn upside down when their oldest son says he is quitting the seminary.

4. Legacies

This is a spinoff of The Originals set to premiere on October 25th on the CW. It's the next generation of supernatural beings as they attend The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.

5. Making It

A new reality show to premiere on August 31st with Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. It's a competition series where makers from around the country take on numerous handmade projects but they need to make it in their own unique way.

6. Real Country

A country reality show with hosts. Shania Twain and Jake Owen to premiere later this Fall on USA network. This singing competition will spotlight the traditions, songs, and themes of specific country genres. 

7. Happy Together

This will premiere in October on CBS. The show is about a couple in their 30's who want to reconnect with their younger selves and then a pop star, who is attracted to their normal lifestyle decides to move in. It's executively produced by Harry Styles.

8. Bachelor In Paradise

This will be premiering on ABC August 7th. Your favorite and maybe not so favorite cast of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are coming together to compete for love on season 5. Look out for Chelsea Roy, Nick Spetsas, Tia Booth, Wells Adams, and many more!

9. Castaways

A new reality show to premiere on August 7th on ABC. A group of people will be individually placed on an island learning that there are others out there. They don't know their location, how many, or when they will be rescued.

10. American Horror Story: Apocolypse 

 This will be a crossover over two of their past seasons, Coven and Horror House. You can watch on FX on September 12th. 

 

P.S. Aquaman comes out Dec 21st for all you D.C. fans!

Game of Thrones is going to be a little bit of wait. The final season doesn't come out until April of 2019.
